CLAT 2024 Exam: The  Consortium of National Law Universities has released an important notice for the UG and PG candidates. As per the notice, for the UG and PG programmes, a ‘Domicile Reservation’ category has been added. Candidates domiciled in the state of Tripura are eligible for consideration in this reservation category. Eligible candidates can update their details on the CLAT Portal.

“Candidates are hereby notified about the following change(s) in the seat matrix of National Law University, Tripura (“NLUT”), Agartala. Candidates are advised to check the seat matrix carefully and update their reservation category, if applicable,” reads the official notification. Eligible candidates can update their Reservation Category by following the steps given below

CLAT 2024 Exam: How Can Candidates Update Their Reservation Category?

  • Login to your CLAT account;
  • Click on the ‘Edit Application’ button;
  • Go to the ‘Reservation’ tab.
  • Under, National Law University Tripura (NLUT), Agartala, for the question, “Are you a domicile of Tripura?”, answer “Yes” and select the Reservation Category you want to claim from the given drop-down menu.
  • Click the ‘Submit’ button to save your changes.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities in India. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliate universities and organisations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively. All admissions to the 5-year integrated Ll.B. and Ll.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2024-2025 shall be through the CLAT 2024
