BILLIAT AND KHUNE

Billiat is the 2016 PSL Player of the Year but he has not quite reached the same heights as he did for Pitso Mosimane and Mamelodi Sundowns since arriving at Chiefs. He has been a shadow of his former self. Amakhosi fans speak goals and it appears Billiat is speaking a different language with his lackluster displays in front of goal this season and continues injury niggles.

Khune is another big name who’s contract is coming to an end in June next year. However, he is likely to be given a contract extension given that he is Amakhosi captain and he has started to regain his form.

BLOM AND MATHOHO

However, the same can not be said with Blom’s contract. As things stand, Blom could leave Chiefs in January for free after Arthur Zwane and Bobby Motaung’s shock response, halting wage negotiations. Blom could sign for Sundowns if his wages do not increase and soon. He is far too good to lose, especially for free.

Mathoho is the other Amakhosi legend still at Naturena. Unfortunately, he has fallen out of favour with Amakhosi’s coaches and management and he is now quite far down the pecking order. He is behind Zitha Kwinika, Njabulo Ngcobo, Siyabonga Ngezana and Edmilson Dove.

HLANTI AND NANGE

Hlanti is a PSL veteran who could also leave but this is unlikely as he is contract has a one year option to extend. This, is an option Amakhosi management are likely to utilize given Hlanti return to form since returning from a long-term injury.

Finally, Nange, the former Bafana Bafana star has played benchwarmer since the arrival of Yusuf Maart. He has also fallen out of favour with Hugo Broos due to his lack of gametime. Therefore, it is in the best interest of Nange and Amakhosi that he is either loaned out or sold in order to be used more prominently at another club.
