2025 Lexus NX Gets Small Updates But Sizable Price Hikes

Lexus has introduced the 2025 NX, which benefits from a handful of relatively minor changes. While the updates largely fly under the radar, there’s a new Copper Crest paint job.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg as the model gains additional standard equipment including rain-sensing wipers, a power liftgate, and intuitive parking assist with automatic braking. Furthermore, the Luxury grade can now be equipped with a new Macadamia interior.

Rounding out the changes are two USB Type-C ports in the front center console. Speaking of charging, a wireless smartphone charger is now available on all trims.

While the updates are relatively minor, the entry-level NX comes nicely equipped with NuLuxe upholstery, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Buyers will also find a 9.8-inch infotainment system, a 10-speaker audio system, and 18-inch wheels.

The crossover comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of driver assistance systems. It includes All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. The crossover also has Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Four different powertrains are available including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203 hp (151 kW / 206 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine developing 275 hp (205 kW / 279 PS) and 317 lb-ft (429 Nm) of torque.

The NX 350h has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a twin-motor hybrid system, and a rear-mounted electric motor. This setup gives the crossover 240 hp (179 kW / 243 PS) as well as a combined fuel economy rating of 39 mpg.

Last but not least, there’s the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. It builds on the aforementioned model by adding a larger lithium-ion battery and an upgraded powertrain. Thanks to these changes, the model has 304 hp (227 kW / 308 PS) and an electric-only range of 37 miles (60 km).

Pricing starts at $41,765 for the NX 250, which is an increase of $1,160. The NX 350 climbs the same amount, while the NX 350h jumps  $1,460. Finally, the NX 450h+ begins at $62,290 which is a $2,385 increase.
