CUET UG 2024: Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar announced on the social media platform X, the number of institutes registered for the upcoming Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate Courses (CUET UG) 2024.
The UGC Chairman in his tweet mentioned that this year, 46 Central Universities, 32 State Universities, 20 Deemed-to-be-Universities, 98 Private Universities and 6 Government Institutes have registered to accept the CUET UG 2024 scores for their admission processes in various undergraduate courses offered by these institutes.Further adding, he said “more are joining” – indicating that the current count of universities are to increase with more institutes joining. A recent TOI report highlighted the difficulties students encountered by students during the CUET UG application process, with institutions like the Delhi University (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) not being on the list. With the UGC Chairman’s recent announcement, it is expected that there will be an increase in the total number of participating universities.
