Her manager Nakisa Bidarian revealed: “What happened there was on Thursday night, Amanda Serrano had her hair done.
“On Friday, while going on a run, a chemical went into her eye that is why at the weigh in she was wearing glasses.
“We were trying to determine what happened. She visited a doctor Friday evening and throughout all of Saturday we were trying to get her eye to a place that she was comfortable fighting.
“She came to the arena to fight and when the commission’s medical doctors examined her, they said she was unfit to fight.
“The commission would not allow her to enter the ring and do what she wanted to do most which was fight in front of her fans on this island.”
Paul going back
Jake Paul will refund over $1.5million worth of tickets after Amanda Serrano was dramatically forced out of her fight at the last minute.
The Puerto Rican icon was due to make her San Juan homecoming in an undisputed featherweight title defence against Nina Meinke.
Serrano was evidently heartbroken as she confirmed doctors refused to rule her fit to fight meaning she had to withdraw at the last minute.
Paul and his business partner Nakisa Bidarian confirmed the record-breaking $1m gate would all be refunded.
Bidarian said: “Jake and I and Amanda have made the decision to refund 100 per cent of the $1,511,000 will be refunded to all fans in attendance who seek a refund.”

In response to Garcia’s blast, Paul said: “Ryan, I love you, you know that bro but you gotta chill out, bro.
“Because there’s a line and you just seem like you’re losing your mind acting thirsty, desperate, saying you’re a billionaire when you had one money fight.
“I’m just saying, chill bro. But if you do want to fight, that to me is light work.
“You’ve got no footwork and for as long as you’ve been in the game, I’m a better boxer than you.”

NFL legend-turned boxer Le’veon Bell was left unimpressed by Paul’s fight with Ryan Bourland.
He posted on X: “This is laughable.
“I don’t even care if he decides to fight me or not, just fight somebody who actually knows how to defend themselves.”
Serrano speaks out
Taking to X, she posted: “This to all my beautiful Fans, My Island, My fellow fighters who have been sending me well wishes With a Torn Broken Heart I want to say I’m So Sorry.
“Everyone who knows me knows I’m a warrior & I would never agree to cancel a fight. I would have fought without an eye or arm.
“To my opponent @ninathebrave you’re an amazing respectful fighter. I thank you and promise you we will fight & you will get your title opportunity.
“You deserve it all To My Managers @jakepaul I love you with all my heart Nakisa you too.
“You’re my life line and savior you guys gave me meaning To my Entire Heart Jordan on your birthday I Fumbled the ball I’m Sorry & I Love you more than life. I’m torn.”
