Unhappy Msimango addresses serious Kaizer Chiefs problems

Ahead of the Soweto Derby, unhappy Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango addresses footballing problems at the club.

Msimango is expected to start in the derby against Orlando Pirates and admits they have serious problems as a club.

The former TS Galaxy defender, Msimango is still hurting after their embarrassing Nedbank Cup exit.

In a recent interview with iDiski Times, the calm central defender addresses their struggles as a club, saying every player is unhappy.

Msimango and Cavin Johnson’s men sit in sixth position on the log with 26 points in 18 games – they’ll meet Pirates who are fifth.

“It’s a team problem, it’s a footballing problem we’re facing as a team,” says Msimango to the football publication.

“And we’re continuously working on that day in, day out.

“I can’t express how deeply disappointed we are because that’s how we’re feeling.

“I can’t rule that expression out because I think it’s not only me but the entire team is feeling that way.”

MSIMANGO: CHIEFS DEFENDER CALLS FOR HONESTY AMID PROBLEMS

While he also missed out on being part of the Bafana Bafana preliminary squad, Msimango adds they must face the reality.

He takes the blame and admits they must tell each other the truth as Chiefs legends and fans are unhappy.

This comes as Amakhosi are now set to finish their ninth season without a trophy and Msimango is seriously unhappy.

“We need to be honest with ourselves as players, we need to tell each other the truth,” adds the Chiefs and Bafana defender.

“The coaches have done that, the management have done that.

“We’re young men, who run households, we are leaders in their respect.

“We can be honest with each other that we’re not doing what we need to be doing for the club.”
