NEET UG Registrations closing today: 7 important guidelines to check

NEET UG registration 2024: The National Testing Agency is set to conclude the online registration window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET) for undergraduate courses today, i.e March 9, 2024. Candidates who are eligible to apply, can register for the NEET UG 2024 exam till today on the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
The NEET UG exam is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024 from 2PM to 5:20 PM with a duration of 200 minutes.Subsequently, the results for NEET UG 2024 is expected to be announced on June 14, 2024, according to the NTA bulletin.
Candidates must apply for NEET (UG) – 2024 exclusively through the online mode on the official website, as applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted. The application forms can be accessed on the NTA’s official website.
The deadline for the successful transaction of fees through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI is 11:50 pm on March 9, 2024. Candidates belonging to the General category and NRIs are required to pay an application fee of ₹1,700. General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates will be charged ₹1,600, while SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates are required to pay ₹1,000. The dates for opening the correction window and releasing admit cards will be communicated later on the website.
Important documents required for NEET UG 2024 application
According to the NTA notification, candidates are reqiured to keep the following items ready before beginning their online registration process-

  • Scanned images of the candidate’s recent passport-size photograph.
  • A postcard-size photograph.
  • Signatures, as well as left and right hand fingers and thumb impressions.
  • Category certificate (if applicable).
  • Citizenship certificate (if applicable), PwBD certificate (wherever applicable)
  • Address proof (for both present and permanent Address).

Additionally, the recent photograph should be either in color or black and white, with 80% of the face (without a mask) visible, including ears, against a white background.

To ensure that parents or guardians receive copies of the confirmation page and final scorecard, please provide their contact details. This aids in keeping parents/guardians informed about the status of the application and the results of the examination. Candidates must ensure that the contact information provided is correct.
Application submission receipt:
Please use only one mobile number and email address per application form. In addition, when submitting the online application form for NEET (UG) – 2023, candidates must provide a parent or guardian’s mobile number and email. This ensures that they receive copies of the confirmation page as well as the final scorecard.
Valid email/Phone number to keep updated with lasted information on the exam:
NTA will communicate with candidates using the contact information provided in their application form. Candidates should check their email and messages on a regular basis for updates and notifications from the National Testing Agency.
Save the online-filled application for future records:
After submitting the application, candidates can download and print the confirmation page for their records.
