Australian comedian Hamish Blake has shared the reason his co-host and longtime friend Andy Lee didn’t attend his Las Vegas-themed birthday party last year.
On the latest Hamish and Andy podcast episode, the 42-year-old revealed the reason Lee didn’t attend was because his invitation quite literally got lost in the mail.
“You were sadly unable to make it. I sent you two emails,” the Melbourne dad said to co-host Lee.
Lee hit back and claimed he never received the invite: “You didn’t tell me about it!”
The friends came to the conclusion the emails must not have gotten through somehow, with Hamish expressing his regret that Lee couldn’t make it.
It turned out Andy was in Melbourne at the time while the party was in Sydney so he wouldn’t have been able to make it anyway.
Blake’s wife Zoe Foster Blake threw her hubby the epic party to also celebrate their wedding anniversary.
The 43-year-old entrepreneur posted photos to Instagram of the insane night full of fun costumes and roulette tables set up in their home.
Zoe opted for a Cher moment with a stunning headpiece similar to the pop star’s iconic ones, while Hamish went for one-half of Siegfried and Roy, rocking a sequined bomber jacket.
