Jaipur: A NEET aspirant from Uttar Pradesh died by suicide in Rajasthan’s Kota, officials confirmed on Tuesday. 20-years-old Uruj was a resident of the Samdhan village of Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj and was living in Kota for the last one year. Uruj’s death maked it the seventh such incident in the coaching hub this year.

On Tuesday morning, his family members called him repeatedly, but he did not respond. They then called his friends living in the Jawahar Nagar area who reached the building and informed the owner living nearby about the student not taking calls. A guard went to his room, and after he did not respond to repeated knocks police were called immediately.

The police reached the spot and broke the door open to find Uruj’s body hanging from the fan.

Earlier in March, a JEE aspirant died by suicide in Kota. The student was identified as Abhishek Kumar, a native of Bihar’s Bhagalpur district. Abhishek, a JEE aspirant, consumed a poisonous substance in his rented room in the Vigyan Nagar area of the city.

“Papa, I can’t handle it. And I will not be able to pass JEE,” his suicide note reads.
