Kaizer Chiefs supporters love Ashley du Preez, but he is not even at his best level. Find out what his former Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker says.
STEVE BARKER SHARES TIPS FOR KAIZER CHIEFS ON ASHLEY DU PREEZ
The 26-year-old forward du Preez joined Amakhosi from Stellies in July 2022. The Idas Valley-born star has since scored 14 goals while creating seven assists in 57 matches. According to those who know him well, Chiefs are yet to enjoy the real “Slosh.”
“Well, Ashley we know his capabilities and his pace, and he’s dangerous. I might say I was more worried in the second half with the formation they had, playing him down the middle,” Barker said as per FARPost.
AMAKHOSI TARGET REVEALS ZERO OFFERS
Chippa United and reported Kaizer Chiefs target Stanley Nwabali has commented on his future, including reports about Europe and Asia.
Nwabali, aged 27, joined the Chilli Boys from Nigeria Premier League club Katsina United in October 2022. The towering goalkeeper became a Chiefs target after delivering 11 clean sheets in the first half of the season. Nwabali went on to take the gloves for Nigeria at Afcon 2023. His performances in Ivory Coast produced reports about Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in England and Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking to the media this week, Nwabali revealed that the likes of Chiefs, QPR and Ettifaq have not made any offers.
“You see, to be honest, I’ve never seen anything on my table ever since AFCON,” Nwabali told FARPost.
“Maybe those clubs might have spoken to my team or my manager. But at this point, we can’t do anything. And they can’t approach me because it would be unprofessional. They must go to my club or my manager. So I don’t know if there’s something on the table maybe waiting for towards summer or transfer window. You know most clubs always do this. When they show interest, you’re opening the way to some other clubs.
“So, some people always keep it a secret, and when they get you, they get you once. For now, I know nothing,” the Chiefs target concluded.
