The LSU Tigers are national champions, which gave Olivia Dunne a reason to celebrate and a famous friend to send some well wishes.
The social media star ended her senior year helping LSU claim their first national title in gymnastics on Saturday.
Dunne posted on her Instagram on Sunday to celebrate the victory, captioned “Forever LSU.”
Former pro golfer and social media star Paige Spiranac commented, “Congratulations!!” with a fire emoji.
The two have been friends for some time, and Spiranac supported Dunne after the publishing of a controversial New York Times piece about the gymnast’s social media rise.
Dunne, who debuted on the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue last year, previously discussed Spiranac’s support.
“Paige is just so great at showing that you can be beautiful and athletic and successful at the same time, so it just really is awesome to have someone like her stand up for me and be on my side,” Dunne said.
In the national championship meet, LSU scored 198.2250 and just got by Cal, which came in second with an overall 197.8500 score.
Utah and Florida followed in the standings.
“Best day ever!” Dunne wrote on Instagram following the victory.
Dunne is currently dating Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Paul Skenes, who seems to be frustrated over his Triple-A workload.
“I wasn’t happy,” Skenes said to MLB.com after being pulled in the fourth inning of his latest effort. “But it’s over [manager Miguel Perez’s] head. It’s over my head.”
Skenes was the National Pitcher of the Year in college last season playing for LSU.
