You can already save 50 per cent on the brand new Google phone

The Pixel A-series has cemented itself recently as one of the best mid-tier phones in the market. This year’s edition, the 8a features improvements in battery life, as well as a camera that performs well ahead of similarly-priced phones.

Optus is offering a huge saving on the new model — instead of paying the RRP of $848.88 you can get the Pixel 8a for just $424.80. That’s 0.05 per cent shy of half-price if you’re counting.

To get the Pixel 8a discounted you’ll need to pair it with one of Optus’ SIM-only mobile plans and stay connected for 12, 24 or 36 months.
