Wildside, the edgy conceptual project by Yohji Yamamoto Inc., has teamed up with cashmere brand, God’s True Cashmere, to launch a unisex capsule collection.
The collaboration introduces two exclusive shirts that seamlessly blend the avant-garde ethos of Wildside Yohji Yamamoto with the quiet luxury of God’s True Cashmere. Each shirt is crafted in Italy, produced in limited quantities to ensure the highest standards of quality, and priced at $2800.
“I am extremely excited to have done this project with Yohji and his team and grateful to Paola Russo, Just One Eye for the vision and introductions,” said Sat Hari, the co-founder of God’s True Cashmere.
“The collaboration challenged the traditional concept of what a God’s True Cashmere shirt can be, exploring lines and deconstruction in a way that is quintessentially Yohji Yamamoto, resulting in a unique garment which embraces our love for craftsmanship and luxury.”
The first shirt embodies Wildside Yohji Yamamoto’s distinctive fit, marked by effortless style and edge, and features a reinterpretation of God’s True Cashmere patterns. This black shirt with plum tartan is embellished with rose quartz buttons and is available in one size only.
The second shirt maintains the classic silhouette of God’s True Cashmere, incorporating Wildside Yohji Yamamoto’s visual aesthetic. This black and burgundy shirt is adorned with black sunstone buttons and is available in sizes M and XL.
Every detail in the collection has been meticulously considered, from the chromatic palette and proportions to the sumptuous softness of God’s True Cashmere fabrics. The button-front shirts feature 11 semi-precious stone snaps, aligning with the wearer’s seven chakras, adding a meaningful layer to the garment.
The collaboration is available at the Wildside Yohji Yamamoto Harajuku store in Laforet, Tokyo, the Yamamoto store in Osaka and online at wildside-online.com. Outside Japan, the limited edition shirts are exclusively available at Just One Eye in Los Angeles.
Looking ahead, a second collaboration drop is expected to be released later this year.
