Nicki Minaj cancels concert in Amsterdam following drug arrest by Dutch authorities

Nicki Minaj’s upcoming show in Amsterdam has been cancelled following her arrest last weekend.

The “Super Bass” rapper, 41, was slated to perform at the Ziggo Dome in the Netherlands’ capital on Sunday night while on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

“Due to the events of last week, the Nicki Minaj show on Sunday, 2nd June at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam will no longer be taking place,” the venue announced on its website. “Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale.”

Ahead of her Manchester show on May 25, the rapper took to Instagram Live to show her interactions with Amsterdam police officers who accused her of “carrying drugs.” nickiminaj/Instagram

Last weekend, Minaj was arrested by Dutch authorities after allegedly attempting to fly out of Amsterdam with marijuana joints in her bag.

Minaj posted an Instagram livestream of her arrest.

Despite her denial at the time, Minaj was allegedly hit with a fine and allowed to “continue her journey” on to the United Kingdom.

According to a subsequent post on X, the Grammy winner said the officers “found weed” in her bags, which she claimed belonged to her “security.”

“Now they said I have to go 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct,” reads Minaj’s latest post from Saturday morning.

In earlier posts to X, Minaj accused the airport of attempting to “sabotage” her tour, claiming officials “took my luggage & when I asked where it is they said it’s on the plane. It couldn’t have been, I just pulled up.” The rapper accused them of allegedly trying to “plant things” in her bags.
