“Useless talk…,”: Prashant Kishor calls out ‘fake journalists’, social media experts post exit poll results

After exit polls predicted a massive win for the BJP-led NDA, political strategist Prashant Kishor advised the public to avoid wasting time on “useless discussions” and “analyses” from so-called “fake journalists, loudmouth politicians, and self-proclaimed social media experts” during election times.On Saturday, Kishor posted on X, “Next time when there is talk of elections and politics, do not waste your valuable time on useless talks and analysis of idle fake journalists, loudmouth politicians and self-proclaimed experts of social media.”

Almost all exit polls predict a huge majority for the NDA, with seats ranging from 350 to 415. Axis MY India predicts 361-401 seats for the NDA, surpassing their 2019 tally.

The exit polls indicate the BJP-led NDA will surpass its 2019 record of 352 seats. Two polls predict the BJP will also increase its 2019 count of 303 seats. This suggests the BJP will continue its upward trend from 2014 and 2019, with the INDIA bloc, an alliance of parties against the BJP, performing better than the Congress-led UPA did in 2019.

If these predictions hold true on June 4, when votes are counted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the first PM after Jawaharlal Nehru to win three consecutive terms. The exit polls foresee ‘Modi 3.0’, with PM Modi having led a vigorous campaign through rallies and roadshows.

India Today-Axis My India exit polls predict the NDA will win 361-401 seats, the INDIA bloc 131-166 seats, and other parties 8-20 seats. Republic PMarq exit poll gives 359 seats to the NDA, 154 to the INDIA bloc, and 30 to others. Other polls like Republic Matrize, NewsX Dynamics, and Jan Ki Baat show similar trends, with the NDA consistently forecasted to win a large majority.The NewsX Dynamics exit poll suggests Congress will slightly improve its 2019 count of 52 seats. It predicts the BJP will win 315 seats, an increase from 303 in 2019, with other parties like DMK, Trinamool Congress, and JD(U) also gaining various seat counts.According to the polls, BJP will continue to dominate Gujarat and Uttarakhand and improve its performance in Uttar Pradesh. In West Bengal, the BJP is expected to win 26-31 seats, and in Telangana, it may win 11-12 seats. The BJP is also predicted to maintain its lead in Gujarat, sweeping all 26 seats.

In the south, the BJP might open its account in Kerala and win 2-4 seats in Tamil Nadu. The BJP-led NDA is expected to increase its vote share in these states significantly.

The exit polls show a tight contest in Telangana between the BJP and Congress, with the BRS losing ground. The NDA is forecasted to win most seats in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh, with Congress struggling to make a significant impact.

BJP is predicted to maintain its lead in Haryana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Assam. In Punjab, seats are likely to be split among various parties, with Congress and AAP gaining the most.

In Bihar, the NDA is forecasted to win a comfortable majority, securing around 30 of the 40 seats. The exit polls also indicate the BJP will maintain a strong position in Karnataka, despite Congress being in power there.

The exit polls were released after the final phase of polling concluded on Saturday. Votes will be counted on June 4.

Previously, Kishor had forecasted that the NDA would increase its tally, emerging as the largest party in West Bengal, Telangana, and Odisha.

Kishor’s predictions seem to align with the exit polls. His expectations of increased BJP vote share in Tamil Nadu and Kerala also appear accurate, according to the exit polls.

Kishor’s prediction that Jagan would lose this election might also be correct, as most exit polls predict a massive loss for the YSRCP in the Lok Sabha elections.
