Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are paring back couple’s style.
The duo strolled arm-in-arm around New York City, dressed for a leisurely walk. Lively wore a body-hugging black tank top with a pair of light-wash, mid-rise cuffed jeans. She carried a jacket in hand and accessorized with a raffia Chanel flap bag, and wayfarer sunglasses. She matched the orangey lenses to her burnt orange Converse low tops.
Reynolds, for his part, chose a sky-blue cashmere-cotton shirt with double breast pockets from God’s True Cashmere, which he paired with dark teal trousers. Shading himself from the sun, he wore a blue baseball cap and clear-framed sunglasses.

Like Lively, Reynolds also donned a pair of Chuck Taylors. While his beloved wore a colorful orange pair, the actor chose white low-tops that showed off a pair of gray socks with black polka dots. Together, they make for a fun take on couple’s styling that doesn’t require matching outfits that hit you over the head with their saccharine sweetness.
Last summer, I wrote that Converse make for an excellent antidote to Sambas fatigue. In 2023, Timothée Chalamet and Stella Maxwell made the case for the classic Converse high-tops, but now, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are arguing that the low-top iteration are the summer staple.
