The new 1,540-square-foot boutique marks the sixth location designed by Bernard Dubois. In 2022, the maison underwent a transformation, reintroducing ‘Le Chic Ultime’, a guiding concept originally coined by the house’s founder.

This revival is now embodied in the new architectural retail concept, which debuted on Madison Avenue in New York City’s Upper East Side last summer, and was followed by locations in Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Seoul, and Riyadh.

Dubois’ architectural concept draws inspiration from the Neoclassical and Art Deco movements, in line with Lanvin’s rich heritage. Notably, the design incorporates classical architectural elements such as enfilades, symmetries, columns, and architraves. The result is a setting that perfectly complements the renewed energy and chic of France’s oldest continuously operating couture house.

“Lanvin’s retail approach is purposeful: we are focused on identifying opportunities to showcase the new universe of the house uniquely and dynamically across womenswear, menswear, all product categories,” said Siddhartha Shukla, Lanvin deputy general manager.

“The expansion is calculated – we are interested in establishing quality long-term points of sale, not just quick wins. And we are fortunate to have partners like the owners and operators of South Coast Plaza, who understand the singular proposition of Lanvin and have welcomed us within the shopping center as the brand evolves and business grows.”

True to the brand’s sustainable ethos, the boutique also features environmentally friendly elements, including marmorino, a natural clay-based substance reminiscent of the landscapes of southern France.

Additional sustainable features include recyclable aluminum panels and next-generation lighting, alongside materials such as limestone, oxidized and hammered brass, and beige velvet, for a textured and tonal palette.

Lavin’s U.S. store fleet also includes locations in Soho New York, Beverly Hills California, Las Vegas Nevada, as well as Bal Harbour and the Miami Design District in Florida.
