Brooke Rose may have been trying to tell Knicks fans that the blockbuster Mikal Bridges trade was coming.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday night, the daughter of Knicks president Leon Rose shared a photo of her and her father, which showed them sitting courtside at a game while on their phones.
The photo, which has since expired from her page, had the rumor mill buzzing that the organization was up to something when it was posted by a popular Knicks fan account.
“Mikal rumors resurfaced again,” another person wrote. “Brooklyn tryna get picks.”
“He’s doing something,” one person wrote at the time.
Rose, who prefers to stay out of the spotlight, and the Knicks were indeed up to something.
They sent Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks (2025, 2027, 2029, 2031), a 2025 protected first-rounder from the Bucks, a 2028 unprotected pick swap and a 2025 second-rounder to the Nets for Bridges in the deal, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Knicks kept their picks — 24th and 25th overall — for the 2024 NBA Draft, which will take place in Brooklyn on Wednesday night.
The Knicks will also acquire a 2026 second-round pick from the Nets.
Moments after the trade was reported, Brooke shared a meme of a curious Stephen A. Smith sipping a green smoothie while on-air at ESPN.
Bridges will now be reunited with his former Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo.
They were members of Jay Wright’s championships teams in 2016 and 2018.
They led the Wildcats to the 2016 national championship — and then Brunson, Bridges and DiVincenzo went on to win a second title together two years later.
The four were thrilled to be reunited, according to their posts on social media.
“This is crazy lol,” Bridges wrote on X after the deal was reported.
Hart posted a photo of him, Brunson, Bridges and DiVincenzo smiling on a group video call.
The 27-year-old Bridges has a perfect attendance record in games played, as he’s never missed a game in his NBA career.
Bridges averaged 19.6 points this past season for the Nets.
The All-NBA defender is considered one of the top two-way players in the league.
Bridges was an integral part of the Suns team that reached the 2021 NBA Finals when Phoenix fell to the Bucks.
Bridges is set to make roughly $48 million in the final two years of his current contract.
He is eligible to sign a two-year extension on Oct. 1
