Why is it that when I decide to try a new look while traveling, I fail miserably (trust me when I say it is never a good idea to pack beauty products you’ve never tried before), but when Megan Thee Stallion does it, she pulls it off flawlessly?
Oh, right. It’s because she’s Megan Thee Stallion.
Meg is no stranger to frequently changing her hair. Recently, she’s been seen with voluminous, long curls at her concerts, switching it between shows with pastel stripes, blonde bouffants, and neon orange bangs. And now that she’s hanging out in Tokyo for a few days, she’s decided to break out another hairstyle that’s a true departure from her ‘dos of late.
“Took myself shopping as soon as soon as I got to Japan,” Megan wrote in the caption of an Instagram carousel posted on Sunday, July 21. In the photos, we see her out and about in a matching denim set with a halter top and bell bottoms, and it’s topped off with a bob—but not just any bob. The sleek, chin-length, middle-parted style features thick, super blunt bangs that fully cover her brows, and, most notably, it’s a vibrant fruit-punch red.
Her new hair isn’t the only fresh beauty moment. In one of the photos, we get to see Megan’s latest manicure, and it’s true to her tendency to go all out on nail art. Each long, squared-off nail is painted to look like butterfly wings in a different color—blue, green, orange, pink, and red—and they look like they may have crystal accents as well.
