The Catalan jewelry group, Tous, has revamped its board of directors by welcoming four advisors with a wealth of experience in the fashion and beauty industry. The new members, Martin Brok (former CEO of Sephora), Patricia Sancho (former CEO of Temperley London), Pierre Denis (former CEO of Jimmy Choo), and Steve Davis (former president of Fanatics), are taking over from Beatriz González-Cristóbal, Luis Bach, and Nacho de Pinedo.

This renewal of the board comes in line with the “recommendations of the corporate governance code”, as emphasized in a statement. Beatriz González-Cristóbal (formerly of LVMH and Hermès) and Luis Bach (previously with Bacardi Group and Orangina Schweppes) have been part of the group’s board of directors for the past 10 years, and Nacho de Pinedo (founder of the business school Isdi and the startup accelerator Impact) joined in 2017.

“These three directors played a key role in the comprehensive transformation of the jewelry firm and the evolution of the brand, leading to a successful period for the company. This success is evident in the recent figures, with a historic record of revenue in 2022, reaching 450 million euros and surpassing 100 million euros in operating profit. The outlook for 2023 is highly positive, with strong growth prospects,” stated the group.

The three outgoing directors make way for four professionals with solid international careers. Martin Brok, former global president and CEO of Sephora, also served as the president of Starbucks for the EMEA region and held various positions for Nike, including vice president of operations. He currently serves on the boards of Revlon, Oatly, and Self Esteem.

Patricia Sancho, on the other hand, previously held the position of CEO at Temperley London, was the commercial director of Juicy Couture, and co-managing director of Tempe Inditex. She is also the founder and CEO of Le Petit Planet, a marketplace focused on the children’s segment.

The third independent figure joining Tous’ board is Pierre Denis, who served as CEO of Jimmy Choo and held various management positions within the luxury group LVMH, from managing director at John Galliano to general manager of Christian Dior Couture, LVMH Perfumes, and Cosmetics in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and India.

Lastly, Steve Davis specializes in e-commerce business and global development. He worked as the president of the sports giant Fanatics and was a founding member of GSI Commerce, later acquired by eBay.

After this update, Tous’ board of directors will be composed of three members of the founding family (Alba Tous, president; Rosa Tous and Laura Tous), the CEO of the company, Carlos Soler Duffo; the company’s general manager, Josep María Bosch; Andrew David Deakin, representing Partners Group (the Swiss fund that owns 25% of the company’s capital), and the four new independent advisors.
