Former Bachelorette and West Aussie Brooke Blurton has revealed a surprising career change that was inspired by her ‘failing’ love life.
Speaking to Stellar Magazine, the 28-year-old shared that she is studying to work as a marriage celebrant.
“I failed at falling in love myself, so I will just marry people instead… It’s so beautiful to know you can help couples get married and share their love,” she said.
“I’m such a sucker for love. When people are in love, it’s not always happy – I get that. But there’s such a raw happiness within it. Maybe I’m just addicted to that.”
In June, the Noongar-Yamatji podcast host shared via Instagram stories that she was “loved up” in her “love bubble” with a mystery man.
Weeks later, the author posted her trip to Perth, saying it was the perfect “reset” for her soul after the man she was seeing broke it off.
Blurton said she needed to “chill on love.”
In 2021, Blurton made Australian TV history as she was the first Indigenous and bisexual Bachelorette, where she walked out with ex-partner Darvid Garayeli.
The couple split after just three months together.
