Brookfield Place’s Tower 1 lobby has become a vibrant wealth of Noongar knowledge sharing in recent weeks, following a 50-hour artist in residency by emerging Noongar artist Julianne Wade.
During that time, Wade created a 30m mural tracing the life cycle of a kwela (sheoak), depicted through the six Noongar seasons — Birak (December to January), Bunuru (February to March), Djeran (April to May), Makuru (June to July), Djilba (August to September) and Kambarang (October to November).
