Statues of two iconic figures of rock’n’roll, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, was unveiled in their hometown of Dartford, Kent. The duo’s connection dates back to their teenage years when they met on a platform at Dartford’s railway station in 1961. In 1962, they went on to establish the Rolling Stones. Although they both attended Wentworth Primary School in Dartford, they pursued different paths in secondary education.

Over the past six decades, the Rolling Stones have solidified their status as one of the most enduringly successful bands in history.

These sculptures, commissioned by the Dartford Borough Council, capture the essence of the duo during a live performance. Jagger, recognized for his signature skintight trousers and singlet, is depicted striding confidently with a microphone in hand.
