Great Southern police are urgently seeking public assistance in helping locate missing teenager Lexi Peterson who they believe is in Albany.
The 16-year-old was reported missing after leaving her family home in Banjup on Friday, August 4 but has now been sighted in Albany.
Police confirmed she was on board the Transwa bus from Perth to Albany on Sunday, August 6.
The teen was then spotted on CCTV footage in York Street near the Amcal+ pharmacy later on Sunday afternoon.
Acting Senior Sergeant officer-in-charge Dave Loverock said they believe Lexi is in the Albany area.
“We do have concerns for her welfare and she has some medical issues,” Sen. Sgt Loverock said.
“We understand she has left her phone and other electronic devices at home but that is not to say she hasn’t got her hands on a phone from someone else.
“If anyone does come across her, we urge that they tell police and don’t approach her.”
Police sent a text message to Albany residents on Thursday morning saying they have serious welfare concerns and are searching for the 16-year-old in the Albany area.

At the time police said she may also be using a long blonde wig or a black curly wig and has her nails painted black.
