Thousands of Mercedes-Benz vehicles have been recalled over concerns about the “unexpected reduction of braking performance”.
The X Class 2017 to 2019 models have been recalled, affecting 6117 vehicles.
A manufacturing defect may result in the rear axle radial shaft ring of the vehicle not being adequately sealed.

This can lead to an oil leak, which can result in “an unexpected reduction of braking performance”, the recall states.
This sudden decrease in braking function could lead to injury or death as the result of a car accident.
Owners of vehicles included in the recall should contact their dealership to have work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
