tata nexon: New Tata Nexon facelift unveiled: This sub-4m SUV scores high on tech and design

Finally, the much-anticipated Tata Nexon facelift is here with a radical new design despite carrying over the same overall silhouette while also adding tons of new features, which arguably makes it the most feature-loaded sub-4m SUV in the country!

When it comes to design, the new Tata Nexon gets a split headlamp setup up front, with LED headlamps placed lower on the new, more sporty-looking bumper. Moving to the sides, not much is new apart from the funky-looking 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the Nexon now gets a full-width tail light that it calls ‘X Factor tail lamp’, which also gets a welcome and goodbye function, reported ToI.

However, the biggest changes are those made inside the cabin, with the Tata Nexon facelift gaining a new two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with an industry-first illuminated logo. The HVAC unit is now a touch panel, while the center console also looks more plush with a new gear selector. What’s more, the Tata Nexon facelift gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with a similarly sized fully digital instrument cluster.

Features on offer with the Tata Nexon facelift include Tata’s IRA 2.0 connected-tech, a voice assisted electric sunroof, a JBL nine-speaker sound system, wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, first-in-segment navigation display on instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and more! On the safety front, the 2023 Nexon gets front and rear parking sensors, a first-in-class blind-view monitor, ESP, six airbags, Hill-hold control, roll over mitigation, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchors and TPMS.
The 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 118 hp power and 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel motor putting out 113 hp have been carried over. The petrol engine is now being offered with four different transmission options, namely 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed AMT, and a new 7-speed DCT, depending on the variant. The diesel engine continues with the 6MT and 6AMT.Do note that pricing for the Tata Nexon facelift is yet to be revealed. Tata is offering the new Nexon in four different trim levels, namely Creative, Fearless, Pure and Smart, which are further bifurcated into a total of 11 variants. Colour options on offer include Fearless Purple, Creative Ocean, Pure Grey, Flame Red, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White.
