Leave it to the famous fathers of WA to raise the temperature each and every Fathers’ Day.
Whether it’s their doting ways, dad jokes and or damn pure talent, our state is rammed with famous daddies to appreciate each year.
Here we take a look at the best in the West for 2023:
1. Andrew Papadopoulos
Sitting pretty at number one is exercise guru Andrew Papadopoulos. He’s more than enough to make the mother-in-law blush as he spends all day on Instagram flexing his pecks and working up a sweat in his skimpies for his 185,000 Instagram followers.
He helps other dads with workout tips to help them get the ultimate dad bod. Sexy Pap is a new daddy to little girl Harper, who he shares with Former Miss Universe Renae Ayris, who make a picture-perfect family.
2. Sam Worthington
2 What cooler dad to brag about than Sam the man? Hollywood action man Sam Worthington easily makes the daddy cool list for his world-beating acting prowess in screen juggernauts such as Avatar and Call of Duty. The 47-year-old Rockingham boy will be doted on this Sunday by his three kids who he shares with Aussie supermodel Lara Bingle.
3. Kevin Parker
Your dad rocks! Literally… Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker makes the damn cool daddy grade simply because he is the frontman of one of the world’s biggest bands. The 37-year-old’s daughter Peach, who he shares with girlfriend Sophie Lawrence, will be extra proud of dad after the band made it on the Barbie soundtrack.
4. Nic Naitanui
Nic Naitanui is flying high on the Father’s Day list after stepping away from his 14-year stunning career at the West Coast Eagles this season. The 33-year-old’s son and daughter with partner Brittany Bown will be proud as punch as they get to watch the highlights of dad’s 112 goals and high-flying antics during his footy career.
5. Rove McManus
Everyone loves a dad joke and for that reason, TV star Rove McManus easily makes his way into WA’s coolest daddy rankings. The funnyman is often clocked chilling out in Mosman Park these days as he takes a more chilled approach to TV stardom, meaning he can spend the day with his daughter with wife Tasma Walton.
6. Eamon Sullivan
World Champion swimmer Eamon Sullivan doesn’t have to worry about his dad bod down on the beach this summer. He looks just fine in his budgies thanks to a golden swimming career. The former Celebrity Masterchef champ also gets brownie points from his two kids with lawyer wife Naomi Bass as he has a restaurant for them to hold their parties in as a co-owner of North Fremantle’s Bib & Tucker.
7. David Genat
David Genat makes the hot daddy grade for his 12-pack and daring antics on reality show Rush. The Australian Survivor star spends a lot of his time topless on Instagram which is embarrassing for his three kids but great for everyone else.
8. Shaun Marsh
A game of cricket in the backyard is part of growing up in WA and what cooler dad to have than professional cricketer Shaun Marsh. He and Channel 7 journalist Rebecca O’Donovan like to show off their trendy family holidays on Instagram and their three kids also have a famous uncle in fellow cricketer Mitch and famous grandad, Geoff.
9. Lance Franklin
He’s a Buddy and a daddy! WA’s golden AFL son Lance Franklin rounds out the damn cool dads of our State, after retiring from the Sydney Swans, after booting the fourth most goals in AFL history with 1066 belters through the sticks.
10. JIM JEFFERIES
Look it’s Dad on the TV! And his dad’s jokes are second to none. Former WAAPA grad Jim Jefferies has plenty of his two kids certainly have a lot to brag about as dad hosts the biggest quiz show on Tele 1 % Club on Channel 7, where he cracks up quiz contestants with his hilarious ways.
