As the cost of living crunch continues to eat into the wallets of Aussies, the last thing motorists want is to pay too much for fuel.
With that being said, drivers in Perth and Mandurah are being urged to fill up now, to avoid as much as a 30c increase in petrol tomorrow, according to FuelWatch.
After Tuesday, motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.
The average price of unleaded will increase by 31c on Wednesday to 220.1cpl, with some sites selling fuel for nearly 230cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 29 individual sites offering prices below 190cpl,
Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 48cpl, means motorists can potentially save $28 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 185.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Wattle Grove, BP 2go Morrison Road (Midvale) and BP Forrestfield in the East;
- 182.7 cpl at 7-Eleven Booragoon in the South; and
- 183.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Balcatta, 7-Eleven Malvern Springs, 7-Eleven Stirling, Coles Express Duncraig, Coles Express Ellenbrook, Coles Express Kingsley, Coles Express Osborne Park, EG Ampol Banksia Grove and EG Ampol Greenwood in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 186.3 cpl at Vibe Forrestfield in the East;
- 181.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport, 183.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (Costco sites are membership based) and 184.7 cpl at Vibe Ascot and Vibe Kwinana OPT in the South; and
- 184.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos in the North.
