UPSC Mains Exam 2023: The Union Public Service Commission will begin the UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2023, from tomorrow onwards, September 15. Candidates who are going to appear in the Civil Services Examination (Mains) can check the admit card link and other important exam day guidelines here.
As per the schedule, the UPSC Mains 2023 will be held on September 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24 in two shifts – 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2023 was conducted on May 28. The result for the same was announced on June 12, 2023.
Candidates who have qualified for the CSE Mains 2023 must make sure to carry their admit card and an original photo ID on the date of examination. Alternatively, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to check and download the admit card from the official portal.

Step 1: Visit the official website at upsc.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, “e – Admit Card: Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023”
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page, enter your login credentials such as ‘Registration ID’ or ‘Roll Number’
Step 4: Your UPSC Mains 2023 admit card will be displayed on the screen
Step 5: Download and take a printout of the admit card for the examination date

UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2023: Important Instructions
• Candidates must reach the examination centre well in advance to avoid last minute rush.
• No candidate is allowed to appear at a Centre/Venue other than the Centre/Venue mentioned by the Commission in his/her e-Admit Card. If a candidate appears at such a Centre/Venue (except by a court order), the papers of that candidate shall not be evaluated and his/her candidature will be liable for cancellation.
• Candidates are advised not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/Bluetooth devices etc. to the venue of the examination
• Do not bring any valuable/expensive items to the examination halls/UPSC premises, as the safety of such items cannot be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard
