Ex-Test Spinner Stuart MacGill charged over alleged massive drug deal that led to kidnapping

Former Australian spinner Stuart MacGill has been charged over his alleged involvement in a massive cocaine deal related to his kidnapping.

The 52-year-old claims he was held captive and bashed inside the shed of a rural property in New South Wales back in 2019, an incident police allege is related to this latest charge.

The Daily Telegraph reports MacGill has been charged with one count of taking part in the supply of a large commercial quantity of cocaine, a NSW Communities and Justice spokesman confirmed on Tuesday.

That charge carries a potential maximum penalty of life in jail.
