Ecovacs Robotics has unveiled a new vacuum to its Australian audience that is slimmer, faster and sucks up more dirt and debris than ever before.
The new flagship DEEBOT X2 OMNI, available for pre-order at Godfreys, features more than 100 patents that come together to deliver new levels of precision in robotic cleaning.
While visually the most noticeable difference will be its square design, as opposed to previous models which are circular, customers will also notice that the DEEBOT X2 OMNI does not have a raised component for its navigation.

This is a result of the newly-developed “Semi-Solid-State Lidar” directly built into the structure of the robot.
This is an important technological advancement which ultimately means it is a lower height to get into more places (and corners) than before.
Its pioneering new AI and machine learning technology is such that the robot can independently select the best navigation strategy to clean your house quickly and with ease.
It has a huge 8000Pa suction, 60 per cent more powerful than its predecessor.
And the self-cleaning OMNI station that it comes back to is able to wash the mopping pads with 55C hot water and dry them with hot air.
The station also auto-empties debris from the travelling robot into a three litre bin.
The DEEBOT X2 OMNI has the ability to vacuum and mop at the same time – so forget wasting time on clearing a space before you mop.
Sticky sauces on kitchen floors or pet hair in the carpets? Neither is an issue.
The vacuum usually retails for $2,667.97 at Godfreys but is currently on pre-order sale for $2,499.
Ecovacs Robotics was one of the first companies in the world to develop and engineer service robots.
In the 25 years since the inception, the company has successfully launched a comprehensive range of domestic service robots, such as the Deebot robot vacuum cleaner, Winbot window cleaner and Airbot air purifier robot.
