Sophie Turner has been pictured strolling the streets of New York City with her daughter Willa after launching a legal challenge against her estranged husband Joe Jonas to try to have their two children moved back to Britain.
The Game of Thrones star stepped out with her 3-year-old on Thursday, rocking a smile after her fresh split from Jonas.
Turner sported a black shirt, joggers and a baseball cap as she held onto her eldest daughter and chatted to friends.
Documents filed to the US District Court in NY revealed the 27-year-old is petitioning “for the return of children to England”.
According to the Daily Mail, Jonas allegedly refused to agree to this.
Turner filed the lawsuit to “secure the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained” by Jonas.
According to Daily Mail, It is alleged the actress accused Jonas of “abducting” their kids and blindsided her with the divorce filing.
Their marriage is “irretrievably broken”, the paperwork states.
Rumours circulated that Turner’s partying was to blame for their split after the actress was pictured having fun with her friends out in Birmingham just hours after the divorce papers were filed.
The actress looked in high spirits as she partied at arcade bar Dropshot Digbeth — where she had been filming her upcoming series, Joan, for the UK network ITV.
The two shared a statement on Instagram claiming they “mutually agreed to end the marriage amicably”.
