ROHTAK: The importance of quality research publication, the blueprint of publishing research papers and articles, and the essentials of scientific writing and publishing were highlighted in the one-day Author Workshop organized under the aegis of Vivekanand Library at Maharshi Dayanand University today.
This workshop was organized in collaboration with the prestigious publication house Springer Nature.
MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh, in his inaugural address, emphasized the importance of quality research publication. He said that quality research publication enhances the credibility of research work. He mentioned that the University is focusing on building the research capacity of faculty members and students to boost the research ecosystem of the University. He lauded the organizer, Vivekanand Library, for the workshop.
Executive Editor, Springer Nature, U.K., Aninda Bose, in his keynote address, said that the novelty of research papers and their relevance are the key factors for publication in quality research journals. In his erudite address, Aninda Bose explained the nuances of scientific writing and publishing.
Earlier, Librarian of Vivekanand Library, Dr. Satish Malik, delivered the welcome address. He shed light on the background of the workshop. Prof. Nirmal Kumar Swain (Dept. of Library & Information Science) spoke about the basic tenets of academic writing.
Vikash Kumar, Director (Sales, Central Asia), Springer Nature, discussed the utilization and impact of Springer Nature e-resources by the University community. Information Scientist Dr. Sunder Singh expressed the Vote of Thanks.
Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Surender Kumar, Dean CDC Prof. A.S. Maan, DSW Prof. Randeep Rana, senior University functionaries, heads of departments, faculty members, research scholars, and library staff members were present on the occasion, along with the team members of Springer Nature.
