NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is set to close the registration window for GATE 2024 without late fees today, October 12. Candidates who are yet to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 can visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in to apply online before the deadline.
However, candidates will still be able to register for the GATE 2024 with late fees from tomorrow till October 20, 2023. The late fee charges are Rs 500.
The IISc had extended the GATE 2024 registration window twice so that more candidates could apply for the engineering test. The online application process for GATE 2024 began on August 30, 2023, and originally the last date to apply was September 29, 2023, however, it was extended to October 5, 2023, and then till October 12, 2023.

How to apply for GATE 2024?
Step 1: Visit the official website at goaps.iisc.ac.in
Step 2: Select “Register Here” from the homepage.
Step 3: Key in your personal information to create login credentials.
Step 4: Sign in using the generated credentials on the homepage.
Step 5: Complete the online application form and upload documents, if required.
Step 6: Make the payment of online registration fees.
Step 7: Download the confirmation page and print it for your records and further use.

GATE 2024 Application Fees
Students from the general and OBC categories are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,300, whereas females and candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories will be charged Rs 900 as an application fee.
According to the schedule, applicants will be able to modify and make changes to their application forms from November 7 to November 11, 2023.
The GATE 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 3, 4, and 10, 11, 2024, and admit cards for it will be issued on January 3, 2024. The answer keys will be released on February 21, 2024, while the results will be announced on March 16, 2024.
