Selection process
A Merit list will be prepared considering the following details:
- Shortlisting: Applications are evaluated based on candidates’ normalized marks in the qualifying degree.
- BE/B.Tech: Marks up to the fifth semester are considered for SSB shortlisting for candidates in their final year or completed their BE/B.Tech.
- Post-Graduate Degree: Marks obtained in all semesters are considered for MSc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech. Pre-final year performance is considered for those still in the final year.
- Qualifying Degree Proof: Candidates in the final merit list must submit proof of completing the qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks to [email protected].
- SSB Centre: Changing the SSB Centre for the interview is not allowed under any circumstances.
- SSB Dates: Correspondence regarding SSB date changes should be directed to the call-up officer of the concerned SSB upon receipt of the call-up letter.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for the SSB interview via email or SMS.
Upon being shortlisted from the SSB round, candidates will be placed under a Training period:
- Candidates will join the rank of Sub Lieutenants.
- Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training. Any candidate found to be married or getting married during training will be discharged and must repay all received pay and allowances along with other government expenses.
- If an officer withdraws voluntarily during initial training or resigns during the probationary period, they must refund the training cost as determined by the government, along with the received pay, allowances, and accrued interest at the government loan rate.
- Candidates failing to qualify for flying training (Pilot/NAOO) will not be allowed to continue in service.
According to the notification, the probation period for officers in all branches or cadres is two years. The probation begins from the date of Sub Lieutenant rank assignment and ends either after two years for all entries or upon completion of the initial training phase, whichever is later. Officers may be discharged during probation for unsatisfactory performance at any stage.

Step 2: Towards the bottom of the page, you will find ‘apply online’ section, click on ‘Complete Your Application’ option.
Step 3: You will be asked to select your corresponding state where you are situated
Step 4: Click on ‘register now’ option to start the registration process.
Step 5: Fill in all the details meticulously and click on save. You will receive an OTP. Use that to confirm your registration.
Step 6: After completion of the registration process use your login credentials to start the application process on the same website.
