Givenchy unveils ‘Givenchy Atelier’ collection at Bergdorf Goodman

Luxury fashion house Givenchy launched on Tuesday a capsule collection, exclusively available at Bergdorf Goodman throughout October.

Dubbed ‘Givenchy Atelier,” the collection pays homage to the brand’s rich history and master craftsmanship. As part of the capsule, creative director Matthew M. Williams created a selection of elevated occasion wear for both men and women featuring key signatures from Hubert de Givenchy’s repertoire – such as bows, lace, and pearl. 

“We’re thrilled to bring the Givenchy Atelier capsule collection exclusively to Bergdorf Goodman this month,” said Yumi Shin, chief merchandising officer, at Bergdorf Goodman.

“We have a long history of extraordinary partnerships with the house, including the 2019 exclusive takeover with their couture collection, and this initiative is no different. From our famous windows to women’s and men’s pieces in-store, we look forward to presenting this exquisite collection – rooted in the house’s timeless glamour – to our customers.”

From little black dresses and tailored jackets to chic tops, suits, and trousers, the collection celebrates the craftsmanship of Givenchy’s petite’s mains and master tailors in their Paris ateliers while paying homage to the golden era of Hollywood.

In a monochromatic palette of black and white, the collection pushes boundaries with shimmery black lace layered over black chiffon. An audaciously plunging back on a monastic long-sleeved gown adds a touch of daring elegance, while tailoring accentuates the interplay between positive and negative space.

The men’s offering in the collection blends sharp-shouldered tailoring with a fluid sense of movement. Classic tuxedo-inspired evening suits have been reimagined for today’s more relaxed man, enriched with subtle details such as the iconic 4G and this season’s thistle motif rendered in tonal beading. In a more casual vein, essential items include a T-shirt, hoodie, and jeans, all bearing distinctive details like silver-finish zips with textured 4G tabs.

Completing the collection is accessories, with a mini version of the Kenny bag available in dusty gold leather or black silk with a silver 4G chain and signature padlock. High-heeled slingback pumps, also offered in dusty gold calf leather, make up the collection.
