The Springboks will contest the 2023 Rugby World Cup final when they meet the All Blacks in the title decider at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis this coming Saturday.
Meanwhile over in the India, the Proteas have made a remarkable start to their 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup campaign and at the halfway mark, they are sitting pretty in second position on the log.
The Springboks have set out to clinch a record-breaking fourth World Cup title, while the Proteas are on the hunt for a maiden World Cup title.
Below we dissect the routes they had and/or have to travel to make it to their respective World Cup finals and discuss whether a double World Cup win is on the cards for South Africa.

SPRINGBOKS AT RWC 2023
The Springboks not only made it out of the pool of death, which included Ireland, Scotland, Tonga and Romania, they also knocked out title favourites France (29-28) and hard-nosed England (16-15) in their two elimination Tests in the most incredible way to advance to a fourth World Cup final.
Those results have set them on a collision course with the All Blacks in what is the blue-ribbon fixture of Test match rugby and the winner will be crowned world champions.

PROTEAS AT CWC 2023
The Proteas have won four of their five ODI matches to date and still have four fixtures to complete before the knockout stage of the Cricket World Cup commences.
With 10 teams contested the Cricket World Cup, the Proteas just need a top four finish to progress to the semi-finals of their event as they look to stay in the hunt for a first-ever CWC trophy.
