BARC Admit Card 2023: The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India has released the admit card for the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the recruitment against the Advertisement No. 03/2023/BARC.
Aspirants who applied for the 4374 vacancies, including Technical Officer, Scientific Assistant, Technician Boiler Attendant, Stipendiary Trainee Cat-I, and Stipendiary Trainee Cat-II, can access their admit cards on the official website – https://barc.gov.in/.
The application window for BARC Recruitment 2023 opened on April 24, 2023, and closed on May 22, 2023. The selection process includes a written exam, interview, skill test, document verification, and a medical examination.
The vacancy distribution, as per the notification, is as follows: Technical Officer – 181, Scientific Assistant – 07, Technician Boiler Attendant – 24, Stipendiary Trainee Cat-I – 1216, and Stipendiary Trainee Cat-II – 2946.
The Selection Process involves three stages:
Stage 1 – Preliminary Test: This screening test comprises 50 multiple-choice questions lasting one hour, focusing on Mathematics, Science, and General Awareness. Candidates earn three marks for correct answers and lose one mark for incorrect ones. Those with less than 40% (general) or 30% (reserved) are eliminated.
Stage 2 – Advanced Test: A two-hour test with 50 multiple-choice questions, with the same marking scheme as Stage 1. The merit list after Stage 2 determines shortlisting.
Stage 3 – Skill Test: The number of candidates shortlisted depends on the number qualifying for Stage 2 but does not exceed 4 to 5 times the vacancies in each trade. It is a Go/No-Go basis skill test.
Upon successful training completion, trainees are considered for absorption based on performance during training and interview:
• Stipendiary Trainees Category-I (Scientific Assistant/C) – Level 7, Entry Pay Rs. 44,900/-
• Stipendiary Trainees Category-II (Technician/D Dental Technician) – Level 5, Entry Pay Rs. 29,200/-
• Stipendiary Trainees Category-II (Technician/C) – Level 4, Entry Pay Rs. 25,500/-
• Stipendiary Trainees Category-II (Technician/B) – Level 3, Entry Pay Rs. 21,700/-
Candidates selected must sign a bond committing to complete training and serve DAE constituent units for three years after absorption. Failure to fulfil this obligation will require repayment of stipend and book allowance received during training, along with interest.
