Commando and Jennifer Fisher Team Up for Exclusive Collaboration – WWD

Commando, the Vermont-based intimates and ready-to-wear company, has partnered with jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher to launch two exclusive collaborative designs: the Commando x Jennifer Fisher limited-edition Neoprene Maxi Dress and Ballet Bodysuit.

“Jennifer Fisher and Commando share a longstanding mutual respect as female founders, forged through a personal connection with the products we both proudly wear,” said Kerry O’Brien, founder, chief executive officer and designer of Commando. “It’s serendipitous that our stores are just around the corner from one another in the heart of Soho, where both our brands took root many years ago.”

O’Brien said her obsession for both the Ballet Body and Italian Neoprene fabrics provided a canvas for the styles that Fisher designed. “Much like everything we craft at Commando, these pieces are destined to become your everyday essentials: versatile, comfortably chic, and a touch of bold badassery,” O’Brien said.

The limited-edition Maxi Dress is Fisher’s version of the perfect black dress with a sophisticated turtleneck and fitted silhouette. The dress is made with Italian Neoprene and features a raw-cut finish, a Commando signature detail. The dress will be available in sixes XS to XL and sells for $498.

The limited-edition Long Sleeve Turtleneck Ballet Bodysuit, which sells for $158, has a bonded finish with a thong bottom and is made from Commando’s signature Ballet Body fabric, a matte black and seamless microfiber blend, offered in one size as the stretch fabric is designed to fit all bodies. The turtleneck is versatile, with the option to pull the neck up for a dramatic face-framing fit or the option to fold it over for a more exposed neck.

“The original Ballet Body turtleneck bodysuit has been a staple in my core wardrobe for years,” said Fisher, founder and creative director of her eponymous brand. “When I was lucky enough to partner with Commando to create a limited collaboration, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. This new collaboration version of my Ballet Body bodysuit and turtleneck dress are investment pieces for any wardrobe that is evergreen.” They are timeless in design, which makes them must-have pieces for all body types and professional style.

The two designs are available to purchase beginning Thursday for a limited time at Commando’s pop-up location at 75 Greene Street as well as online at wearcommando.com.

Fisher, who makes a fashion jewelry collection, started in 2005 with a single piece: A stamped dog tag with her firstborn’s name. She found herself inundated with requests and it culminated in the launch of her eponymous jewelry line in 2006. Fisher opened her flagship store in Beverly Hills in 2020, and has a store on West Broadway in SoHo, which opened in June 2022.
