Two new hybrid master’s degrees in US available for Indian students

CHENNAI: LeapScholar has announced two new hybrid master’s degree programmes in partnership with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), one of the leading private research universities in the US.
Expanding on the existing collaboration, LeapScholar brings Case School of Engineering’s much sought-after MS in biomedical engineering and MS in mechanical engineering programmes to Indian students aspiring to earn a US degree in a hybrid format at a lower cost.
Case Western Reserve University, one of the top 50 universities in the US, was ranked 18th worldwide for its contributions to innovation by the Nature Index. The programmes will be delivered to students online for a part of the course in India and the rest on-campus in Cleveland, Ohio.
This hybrid format will reduce the overall cost of the MS in biomedical engineering programme by up to 30% (approximately US$ 20,556 or Rs 17 lakh) and the MS in mechanical engineering by up to 30% (approximately US$ 20,556 or Rs 17 lakh), depending on currency conversion rates.
The requirement of GRE scores and English proficiency test scores has been waived as a part of the eligibility criteria for the programmes.
The programmes have STEM designation which will enable students to qualify for a three-year post-study work visa upon graduation, just like full-time international students.
