Nashville Predator Gustav Nyquist picks teeth off ice

This NHLer was in need of a different type of drill after this game.

Nashville Predators winger Gustav Nyquist had several teeth knocked out during Thursday’s game against the Seattle Kraken — but he seemed unfazed as he calmly collected the pearly whites from the ice.

“The Most Hockey Thing you’ll see today,” Bleacher Report Open Ice posted on X, along with photos of Nyquist on his knees looking for his missing teeth.

Nyquist was in front of Seattle’s net when he took a high stick to the face from Kraken defenseman Adam Larsson.

Nyquist spun around and dropped to the ground just in time to get a perfect view of his teeth peppering the ice outside the crease.

“Gus Nyquist went down. Couple of chicklets on the ice,” the NHL commentators can be heard saying.

Nyquist took off his glove and began picking up the teeth, which were surrounded with small spots of blood.

Kraken goalie Philipp Grubauer even took some time to help his opponent scan the ice.

“Of course The German Gentleman Philipp Grubauer comes over to see if he needs any help,” Emerald City Hockey, an independent media company covering the team, said on X.

For the hit, Larsson was given a four minute penalty for high-sticking.

Nyquist returned to the game and recorded two shots on goal, but the Kraken won 4-2.
