Key details to check on the IIM CAT admit card
Candidates should meticulously review key details on the IIM CAT admit card both before and after downloading. Prior to downloading, it’s crucial to verify personal information such as name, email ID, date of birth, photo, and signature. Here are the key details to verify:
- The CAT 2023 registration number on the admit card should align with the registered user ID.
- Ensure that the chosen CAT test center in the admit card matches the exam city specified during the IIM CAT application process.
- After downloading, you must double-check important details such as your name, CAT registration number, exam day guidelines, venue, and timings mentioned on the CAT admit card.

CAT 2023 exam pattern and marking scheme
The CAT exam is a computer-based test featuring 100 questions categorized into three sections. Each section is allocated a 40-minute time limit, and there are no breaks between the sections. Here is the section-wise weightage:
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA): 22 questions, 66 marks
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): 24 questions, 72 marks
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR): 20 questions, 60 marks
Each correct answer in the exam is rewarded with 3 marks. However, for every incorrect answer, candidates incur a negative marking of 1 mark. It’s important to note that non-multiple-choice questions do not have any negative marking associated with them.

CAT exam 2023 sessions
This management entrance exam will be held through three sessions on 26th November.
- Morning session (8:30 AM to 10:30 AM)
- Afternoon session (12:30 PM to 2:30 PM)
- Evening session (4:30 PM to 6:30 PM)
