Consecutive fourth-quarter stops by Bears defense
After the Saints scored a touchdown to go up 24-17 with 11 minutes left in the game, the Bears defense didn’t allow another score despite New Orleans starting in Chicago territory on all three ensuing possessions.
The stops included linebacker T.J. Edwards and nose tackle Andrew Billings stuffing Saints quarterback Derek Carr on 4th-and-1, a missed field goal and an incomplete pass on third down.

The Bears rushing attack got back on track in New Orleans, totaling 156 yards on the ground.
Running back D’Onta Foreman paved the way with 83 yards on a season-high 20 carries. Foreman’s longest carry of the game was 22 yards and gave the Bears a first down after facing 2nd-and-16, leading to a Cairo Santos 31-yard field goal.
Quarterback Tyson Bagent posted career-highs with 70 rushing yards and eight carries.

Total tackles between Edwards and Jack Sanborn
The linebackers and Chicago area natives stepped up Sunday as Edwards totaled 15 tackles and Sanborn — who started in place of the injured Tremaine Edmunds — posted nine.
They also had a tackle-for-loss each, and Edwards recorded both a quarterback hit and pass breakup.

Two-touchdown performance by tight end Cole Kmet this season
Kmet fueled the Bears red-zone offense as he caught both of the Bears’ touchdowns Sunday. His first score was on the opening drive of the game as he hauled in a 18-yard pass over his shoulder, reaching high over Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu.
