In the latest development, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has increased the number of seats for the ongoing School Teacher recruitment in middle, secondary, and higher secondary schools in Bihar. A total of 50,263 additional seats have been introduced, and eligible candidates can submit their applications on the official website, onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in, until November 25.The deadline for registration without a late fee is November 14, while with a late fee, it extends to November 17. The current phase of the BPSC TRE recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,21,370 School Teacher vacancies. Notably, Phase 2 had initially notified 69,706 vacancies. The application fee for SC/ST/Female/PWD candidates is Rs 200, while the same for candidates of other categories is Rs. 750.

Bihar Teacher Eligibility 2023
Candidates who wish to apply for the position of teacher under the BPSC recruitment scheme must fulfil all the eligibility criteria including educational qualification and age criteria. The minimum age limit for aspiring primary school teachers is 18 years while that for secondary and senior secondary teacher applicants should be 21 years. The maximum age limit for men in general category is 37 years, while that for OBC and BC women is 40 years. On the other hand, SC/ST candidates can apply till 42 years. In terms of educational qualification, the minimum qualification of primary teachers should be 12th pass. Candidates aspiring to teach at the secondary and higher secondary levels should have graduate and post-graduate degrees respectively. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the posts of BPSC teacher. Candidates applying for the BPSC Teacher recruitment face no limitations on the number of attempts.
