Orlando Pirates were hoping to make it three wins out of three at the King Zwelithini Stadium when they faced Richards Bay on Saturday afternoon.
Jose Riveiro’s however were frustrated by Bay, who it must be noted put up an impressive performance against the Buccaneers.
Neither side were able to find the back of the net during a 90 minutes which felt an eternity. The draw means the Buccaneers move to eighth on the log standings.
Richards Bay remain in the relegation zone but now sit just one point behind Royal AM.

“It’s still early days. There are points that are going to be dropped, including the teams that are on top.” former Orlando Pirates full-back Innocent Chikoya told KickOff.
“If you concentrate on the games in hand and not winning the league, you are going to do well. Remember, in South Africa, if you overtake Sundowns, you win the league.
“The trick is to take each game as it comes until you are in the top two. You play the game to go above the team that is on top of you. That’s the nature of the game. If you overtake Sundowns, you have won the league.”
