GATE Exam Schedule 2024: The Indian Institute of Science, IISc Bengaluru has announced the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2024 Examination Schedule. Candidates who have registered for the examination can check the schedule from the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
As per the schedule, the GATE 2024 exams will be held from February 03 to 11, 2024 in two sessions – Forenoon Session (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Afternoon Session (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM).Candidates must note that the examination date sheet is tentative, not final. The IISC Bengaluru will announce the result on the official website on March 16, 2024.

Exam Pattern
GATE 2024 will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be a total of 30 test papers. GATE 2024 test papers will be in English and entirely of the objective type. The types of questions include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Marking scheme Questions carry either 1 mark or 2 marks
Negative marking For a wrong answer to an MCQ, there will be negative marking.
For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 will be deducted for a wrong answer.
Likewise, for 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 will be deducted for a wrong answer.
There is no negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ and NAT questions.
There is no partial marking for any question.
