CAT 2023 Results: Convenor Sanjeet Singh Anticipates Release in Second Week of January

CAT 2023 Results: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is set to release the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 in the second week of January 2024. Aspirants can access their results via the official IIM CAT website, iimcat.ac.in, using their designated login credentials. However, the exact date and time of the announcement have yet to be officially disclosed by the organizing institute.
CAT Convenor Sanjeet Singh mentioned to a media source, “The result is expected in the second week of January and is unlikely to be announced this month.” Aspirants are advised to stay vigilant for additional updates on the official portal regarding the CAT 2023 result date and time.
Following the release of results, the list of candidates shortlisted for the subsequent selection phase will be accessible on the websites of the respective IIMs. These institutions will directly dispatch interview letters to the shortlisted candidates. Notably, the criteria for shortlisting candidates differ across IIMs, and candidates are advised to consult the admission websites of the respective IIMs for precise details.
The admission process involves IIMs shortlisting candidates for the interview stage based on their unique criteria, which may operate independently of one another. This process might include components such as the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI). It is essential to emphasize that CAT 2023 examination performance plays a pivotal role in the admission process.
Furthermore, IIMs may consider additional factors, including candidates’ prior academic performance, work experience, gender diversity, and other inputs, at various stages of the admission process. The evaluation parameters, academic cut-offs, and weights allocated may vary among IIMs, necessitating candidates to review the admission policies on individual IIM websites for comprehensive information.
In the context of eligibility verification for candidates shortlisted for interviews, several key aspects require attention. Candidates must present all mark sheets and submit attested copies to substantiate their eligibility during the interview. Moreover, candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS, and PwD, must provide original caste/class and/or disability certificates, along with photocopies during the interview.
Final-year candidates appearing for the bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination must furnish an original certificate from the Principal/Registrar/Director of the University/Institution confirming their eligibility. Additionally, they must submit an attested copy of the original certificate during the interview.
If selected, these candidates will be provisionally admitted only upon submitting a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution, issued on or before the stipulated date, affirming that they have fulfilled all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification. Their admission becomes definitive only upon presenting the original mark sheet and qualifying degree certificate, referring to the certificate issued by the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution.
The deadline for submitting the qualifying degree/equivalent mark sheet and certificate is December 31, 2024. Non-compliance with this condition will result in the automatic cancellation of provisional admission. Furthermore, provisional admission will be revoked if subsequent verification reveals any discrepancies in the submitted certificate.
