CRAIG GORDON is set to live it up with his family this Christmas after spending last year’s Xmas Eve in hospital.
The Hearts and Scotland goalkeeper suffered a horror double leg break against Dundee United on December 24 last year.
But 12 months on and the veteran stopper is back and ready to play football again after returning to Steven Naismith‘s squad earlier this month.
Gordon, 40, was on the bench for yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen but didn’t feature with Zander Clark given the starting spot.
He’ll be relieved that he was able to go home to his family safe and sound though after being rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following his devastating injury during last year’s festive clash.
And he was joined by his partner Summer and two kids Ace and Harlow at Tynecastle who were there to cheer on his team from the stands.

But they were a bit too preoccupied to watch the match as they could be seen playing with a new Christmas book instead.
Summer, who is very active on social media, posted a series of pictures and videos of the two children enjoying the special night at home.
She also gave her followers an inside look at their trip to Tynecastle and view from the stands for the match against Barry Robson’s side.
Young Ace, who is two, could be seen holding onto his favourite character from Toy Story – Woody – while taking in the football in Gorgie.
But one-year-old Harlow on the other hand was more focused on playing with his new Christmas book than watching the game as Ace flicked through the pages too.
Summer uploaded a video on her Instagram story showing him reading his festive story, along with a caption which read: “When Hearts are on, but you’ve got a new Christmas book.”
She also posted a video of him walking into the stadium looking excited and a clip of Gordon doing his warm-up on the pitch ahead of kick-off in front of them and the crowd.
Ace posed for a picture with Jock the Jambo who is Hearts’ mascot before the game too.
The Gordon household was jampacked with festive activities on Xmas Eve.
The youngsters could be seen playing with their elves, unwrapping some early presents and playing games with the goalkeeper and his fiance Summer.
They also made snowman toast and Christmas cookies in what would have been a really fun night for the whole family.
Summer was glad to have her partner in the house again after he spent last year in hospital.
