He thrashed Christian Kist 3-0 in the first round with an average of more than 106.

The teenager then followed that up with a 3-1 win over Andrew Gilding in the second round.

His sensational debut at the championships, which will continue against Canadian Matt Campbell on Wednesday, has seen darts pundit Wayne Mardle label him the “most naturally gifted player I’ve ever seen”.

And his supreme talent goes all the way back to him practising as an 18-month-old boy.

A 2009 video titled “Phil Taylor” shows Littler in a hat, top and nappy throwing magnetic darts at a board on the wall.

The technique is incredibly impressive – particularly considering he had not even reached his second birthday – as Littler hits the 20 with ease.

He goes on to attempt a no-look throw, before the person behind the camera – thought to be his mum Lisa – tells him to “calm down”.

Now 16, Littler is guaranteed at least £25,000 in prize money following his run to the third round of the world championships.

But the bookies have already priced him as FOURTH favourite to win the entire competition.

Littler is now just 9/1 to claim his first world title, with Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price the only players with shorter odds.

If “The Nuke” was to triumph, he would take home £500,000 less than three weeks before his 17th birthday.

On Christmas Day, mum Lisa shared a picture of him opening presents under the tree, reminding everyone just how young he is.
