Schools in Rajasthan’s Khanua continue to operate amid cold weather, CBEO orders closure

NEW DELHI: The surprise inspection of private schools in Gram Panchayat Khanua was carried out by Chief Block Education Officer Naresh Sharma. It was reported by a news company that Sharma took this action after receiving information that schools in the district were operating despite the cold weather and against government orders.
In the course of the inspection, the Chief Block Education Officer (CBEO) discovered that schools in the village of Khanua were operational.Expressing his dissatisfaction, Sharma directed the schools to promptly cease classes. He clarified that, having received information that numerous schools in the village were conducting classes against the government order instructing schools to remain closed due to cold weather, he intervened to enforce the closure of the classes.
A 13-day winter vacation has been announced for schools in Rajasthan. The government has declared winter holidays for all schools from December 25 to January 5, 2024. While schools are scheduled to resume on January 6, the extension of holidays is a possibility if weather conditions remain unfavourable by that time.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Board Class 10, 12 board exam dates 2024 have been announced. RBSE Class 10 and 12 exams will commence from February 15 and will be conducted till April 10.
